Downtown Indy...

The second day I had my camera I decided to go walk around downtown Indy and break it in. I walked from my apartment right on the White River to most of downtown Indy. I took about 100 pictures while walking around for about 3 hours or so. So here's some of my favorite ones I took.
(All of the following pictures were taking with the automatic setting of the Rebel XT. I can't wait to start manipulating the settings myself!)

This was taken at the beginning of the Canal. Just a random piece of architecture but I really like it.

I think that this is my favorite picture of the entire day. This was taken at the Indiana War Memorial Park. There were four of these vase like statues on the corners of the big memorial. Each one had a different word inscribed into them.

This picture was also taken at the IWMP. This is the door to the big memorial. I loved all the intricacies on the door.

This picture was taken on the Circle. I don't ever remember seeing these lampposts before, but they were really interesting. I took a couple shots of this one, but this was my favorite.

On my way back I cut through the Eiteljorg Museum garden. I thought this was a really cool statue. There were plenty of these things just hanging out in the garden.

Here's some stairs on the Canal as I was heading back to my apartment. Nothing spectacular, but I just really like the angle.
